• 2003 - Drafted 20th overall by Minnesota Wild
• 2007 - Signed a 4-year contract with Wild, scored 15 goals and 43 points that season
• 2008 - Named the best defenceman at the 2008 World Championships
• 2011 - Traded to San Jose Sharks. Also made his All-Star Game debut
• 2013 - Scored his first carreer hat-trick against Blues
• 2015 - named the best World Championships defenceman again. Also made it to the All-Star team
• 2016 - Scored carreer-high 75 points with 27 goals and 48 assists. Led his team to he Stanley Cup Final for the first time in team history
