The teams that can realistically trade for Carmelo Anthony include <ol> <li> Cleveland Cavaliers</li> <li> Boston Celtics </li> <li> Los Angles Clippers</li> </ol> <p> <ul> <li> <a href="http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/">Cleveland Cavaliers </a> </li> </ul> </p> <img src="http://ww2.hdnux.com/photos/46/61/25/10163549/3/920x920.jpg"> <p> The Cleveland Cavaliers locked in the Eastern Conference. The Cavs are by far the most talented team in the East, with a big three of Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. The Cavaliers have the most talented team in the East, where they will compete, but end up on the top of the East and in the Finals, where they will most likely face off against the Golden State Warriors. Altough they had a miracle defeat in the Finals in 2016. The Warriors will come back with a vengeance and yet another star on their team, Kevin Durant. Knowing this and the Warriors small ball lineup, Kevin Love will not be able to play defense against either Draymond Green or Kevin Durant. The Cavaliers need someone who can score the ball on a daily basis in the halfcourt setting. This is Carmelo Anthony. Melo and his massive contract can be acquired by trading Kevin Love. Love is a great scorer and makes great outlet passes, but Melo is an even better scorer and can grab just and many or even more rebounds, being almost 4 years older than Love. To acquire Melo's contract however, another team must be involved. This being the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are in a rebuilding phase and can greatly increase the play of their team using Kevin Love. Love will become the top scorer again and at 28 years old, can do almost everything on the floor. This will most likely be a 7-8 asset trade where Cleveland will recieve Carmelo Anthony from the Knicks and Jameer Nelson from the Nuggets. The Knicks will recieve Kenneth Faried from the Nuggets, Iman Sumpert from the Cavaliers, and a 2017 1st round pick from Denver. This is a mutually benfical trade for all teams as the Cavaliers recieve one of the greatest scorers of all time in Carmelo Anthony, The Nuggets recive a star power forward who can rebound, shoot, and pass, and the Knicks recieve two young players that can be great off the bench, and a 1st round pick, who they pick can become a stud who can pair up with Kristaps Porzings and can make one of the best young teams with championships bound in the near future. </p> <ul> <li> <a href="http://www.nba.com/celtics/"> The Boston Celtics </a> </li> </ul> <img src="http://www.rantsports.com/nba/files/2016/03/Boston-Celtics-team-play.jpg"> <p> The Celtics have all the right peices to make a run in the East. A great backcourt with Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley, a great bench consisting of young talent that needs someone to look up to, and a decent frontcourt, but they are missing someone who can put the ball in the basket and can provide scoring at all times, from the first points, to the game winner. The greatest fit, Carmelo Anthony. Anthony has proven time and time again he put the ball in the basket, and that is all this team needs. He can teach the young talent his tricks, as he loves working with new players in the league, most recently Kristaps Porzingis. This young talent can prove to score at a higher level than they already can at this age. And with the help of Carmelo Anthony, this young talent can prove to be the next stars of the NBA. For the Knicks to deal Melo to the Celtics, the Celtics have to give up some assests, for the giant contract Melo has. The most obvious trade can occur with Marcus Smart, a great young talent that doesn't get the minutes he deserves, Amir Johnson, a great role player for any team, and Avery Bradley, someone who emerged tihs year as a tremendous scorer and a superior defender; but the real kicker, the Brooklyn Nets first round pick. The Nets are the worst team in the league, and will continue to be so, and if the Knicks get this pick, they have the potential to draft the next superstar. </p> <p> <ul> <li> <a href="http://www.nba.com/clippers/"> Los Angeles Clippers </a> </li> </ul> <img src="https://i.cdn.turner.com/drp/nba/clippers/sites/default/files/styles/main_gallery_photo__480_tall/public/getty-images-610728576.jpg?itok=KRYYPHBl"> <p> The Clippers are already a contender. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and Deandre Jordan team up to make one of the best defensive teams in the league. Deandre Jordan is one of the most impactful defensive players in the league. Griffin, Paul, and Jordan can go down to the offensive end as well, As they can throw it down from almost anywhere, making highlight plays every game. The problem is, they can't get pass the second round of the playoffs because of certain things. Injury ruins their chances, as last year Chris Paul had a broken Right Hand in the second round, as well as Blake Griffin with a Quad injury. The Clips also have no one to rely on offense, as Paul usually plays almost 40 minutes to orchestrate the offense. Here comes Carmelo Anthony. Melo can, as I said, score 20 plus on a daily basis, and provide the Clippers with instant offense. The Clippers can, and most likely will, become an even stronger team that can most likely take over as the top team in the stacked Western Conference. The problem that will occur with this trade however, is that the Knicks fans will not be happy. Most recent trade rumors include trading Melo for Jamal Crawford, someone who is on his last legs and will retire in the next 3-4 years tops, and Austin Rivers, a young shooter that, well, can't do anything but shoot the ball. Phil Jackson is, "intended", on trading Melo, but the problem is that he is too determined on trading him, and that may lead to getting little to no assets in return. Phil has made this move before, trading Patrick Ewing, one of the greatest centers in the history of the NBA, to the Supersonics, for no value. If the trade goes thourgh, the Knicks fan base won't want to allow Phil Jackson to continue to run the Knicks Organization. Another problem that can occur is that the Clippers get too much talent, assembling a team with four all-stars can be dangerous. The 2012-2013 Lakers for example, assembled a team with Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, and Pau Gasol, proved to be a disaster, as Howard wanted shots, Kobe took all the shots, and Pau Gasol wanted more minutes. On paper, the team was a contender, but in game, this Lakers team was one to forget instead of cherish. </p>
